A Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown /Rating * * * * *
As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't get any realer than this! My, what a life this young lady has lived. The wonder of it all, is that she lived through the most aweful, hair-raising,life threatening experiences and has the courage to share her story with the world. She survived the streets, the foster care system, drugs, prostitution, gangs, and so much more! Her strength, determination and will to survive makes her every bit the hero that she stands as today! Her prayers were heard, the path was walked in a bitter season of life's lessons. Reading her book is a must! Wave the flag, as you stand to applaud the magnificent example of fortitude she portrays. This is a ten star book! Don't short change yourself. If you get the chance, please read it! E-mail CupCake when your done she loves it!
Down in the Dirty by J.M. Benjamin
Whew!!! This is how they do it in the Dirty. J.M. Benjamin really laid it down in "Down in the Dirty". Authors first novel. he takes on a tale letting you know how four friends did their thing "in the Dirty". You will get so caught up in the ways of Keisha, Desiree, Tasha, and Pam. These ladies really show these womanizing men who travel to the south to make money and get another notch on their belt(smile) the error of their ways. Read how these four use their sexual pleasures to entice and trap these men to robb or even murder. The story is written so well that you feel the pain that each of these women felt to make them turn into the scheming, robbing, and manupulators that they each become. And in the mist of all of this there is even a fairy tale love story that will have you rooting for love. Well done J.M.

Sinful Desires by Ty Goode
Sinful or Forbidden? While reading "Sinful Desires" I was reminded of wanting that forbidden fruit. It look so good felt so good you now it just had to be good. "Sinful Desires" was hot to the touch put you just could not put down. As you read the tale of the three woman, Tricia, Simone, and Melissa, you will be drawn into their lives. What" Sinful Desire" will come between childhood friends. I was so drawn into this wonderfully created tale of lust, love, betrayl. From the first page to the last you will be hooked on is Tricia & Tarik's love really all that? And what about Simone and Kareem, you know what they say a man will do what you allow him to do. I must not forget Melissa & her older Dr. Phil husband. If you want a book that is like a cup of Mawell House coffee "good to the last drop" you must read "Sinful Desires" I will be recommending my book club Sugar & Spice to read it.
What's Done In The Dark by Gloria Mallette
Sisters ha!!!!! Could not put this book down. Katrina puts a new meaning to the word hate. I did not think sisters could hate each other so. You would want to keep reading just to find out if Katrina could get any worse. Celeste is a better woman than myself I could not help Katrina after the way she treated her from the begining. Thumbs up for Robert for finally taking a stand against Katrina I thought they would forever me blinded. Run don't walk just get this book.
Changing Faces by Kimberla Lawson Roby
Real Friends - These three ladies are what true friendship is made up of. Yes you have the one that is overweight and has relationships that sex is the major role, but baby can she dress! Then you have the one that thinks everyone is wrong but her and is very judgemental. Lastly of course the friend that everyone can count on and is always trying to hold it all together. You will love there story and feel for each lady, and I am sure we all will find a little bit of our story within their tales.
